Building the RSSS Network: Announcing Surya Bandhu Centers, Surya Sathi Centers, Surya Sevak Kendras & Surya Mitra Partners

A four-tier on-ground network — from the district to every gram panchayat and ward — is now open for partnership, bringing the Rooftop Solar Subscription Scheme (RSSS) closer to every home.

Following the launch of the Rooftop Solar Subscription Scheme (RSSS), we are now building the on-ground network that will take RSSS to every district, block, municipality, gram panchayat, and ward. We invite entrepreneurs, local businesses, and individuals to join us as partners at any of the following levels:

  • Surya Bandhu Center (SBC) — the district headquarters of the RSSS network. Each SBC coordinates all RSSS activities across its district and oversees the SSCs operating within it.
  • Surya Sathi Center (SSC) — set up at the block and municipality level, each SSC works under the guidance of its district SBC to manage RSSS implementation and oversee SSKs in its area.
  • Surya Sevak Kendra (SSK) — established at the gram panchayat and ward level, each SSK operates under its respective SSC and serves as the first point of contact for residents in the local community.
  • Surya Mitra (SM) — an independent sales channel partner role, ideal for individuals who want to promote and enrol customers into RSSS on a flexible, self-driven basis.

Together, this network — SBC at the district level, SSC at the block/municipality level, and SSK at the gram panchayat/ward level, alongside independent Surya Mitra partners — will ensure that every household, business, and institution has a nearby point of contact to learn about and subscribe to RSSS.
